VGC Abogados approves its Crime Prevention Model
Since the implementation of Law No. 20,393, which establishes the criminal liability of legal entities for certain crimes, the compliance consulting industry has had to adapt to a new reality.
The risks associated with the new regulations are complex, and law firms have played a leading role in incorporating these new scenarios into effective risk management systems tailored to each client, taking into account their different lines of business, corporate operations, structure, and, in general, the specific circumstances of each individual client.
However, a key player in this process has been overlooked: the law firms themselves. Compliance consultants work to provide solutions to technical risks in highly specialized industries, but it is often forgotten that these same consultants, across their various teams, face risk situations every day.
In this context, and with the aim of managing the risks that affect the provision of legal services, VGC Abogados has designed and implemented a Crime Prevention Model, which was approved by its Partners Committee on April 28, 2026.
The Prevention Model aims to establish a comprehensive framework for action for all partners, associates, and staff of VGC Abogados across its various teams, enabling us to develop our activities safely, transparently, and ethically.
This new risk management system will allow us to perform our work to the same standard that we advise our clients to uphold on a daily basis.
