I joined VGC Abogados as a Senior Councel, where I focus on public and constitutional law issues. Previously, I was Senior Counsel at Carey Abogados and a founding partner of Zapata y Abogados. I have been a member of the Presidential Commission on Public Ethics (1994), the Presidential Commission on Transparency (2003-2005), and the Presidential Commission on Electoral Reform (2006).
In the academic field, I am a professor of constitutional law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. I have served as dean of the law schools at the Universidad Andrés Bello and the Universidad de Las Américas.
I am currently President of the Board of Directors of the Museum of Memory and Human Rights and also host of the program Derecho Global on EMOL TV.
