VGC Abogados attends the 2026 Annual Meeting of Partners of Acción Empresas: Sustainability as an engine of growth.
On April 9th, VGC Abogados participated in the 2026 Annual Partners Meeting of Acción Empresas, held at the Metropolitan Events Center under the theme “It’s not all the same — when the ‘how’ defines the future.”
Our firm was represented by Javier Vergara Fisher, Patricio Walker, and Lorna Püschel Hoeneisen at this strategic event, which brought together nearly 300 business leaders—whose companies represent approximately 15% of the national GDP—government officials, and key figures from the public and private sectors.
The meeting addressed one of the country’s central challenges: how to return to a path of economic growth with environmental, social, and governance standards that generate certainty, reduce risks, and strengthen the legitimacy of investment projects.
Among the most noteworthy presentations was that of Constanza Pantaleón Segovia, General Manager of Acción Empresas, who emphasized that “the challenge is not only how much to grow, but also why and how we do it,” calling for a return to trust and the rebuilding of collaborative spaces between the public and private sectors.
The program also featured the participation of authorities such as Daniel Mas, Minister of Economy and Mining; Francisca Toledo, Minister of the Environment; and Elías Albagli, Manager of the Monetary Policy Division of the Central Bank, as well as business leaders such as Susana Jiménez (CPC), Rosario Navarro (SOFOFA), and Holger Paulmann (ICARE).
At VGC Abogados, we share the conviction that sustainability is not an obstacle to progress, but rather an enabler of it. Our legal practice in environmental and public law supports companies and institutions that see the integration of environmental, social, and corporate governance criteria as a strategic decision, capable of defining the viability and competitiveness of their projects in the medium and long term.
We thank Acción Empresas for convening this important forum for dialogue, which is essential for articulating a development vision that combines economic growth with environmental responsibility.
If your organization requires legal guidance on sustainability, ESG criteria, environmental law, or public law, we invite you to contact our team. VGC Abogados is prepared to assist you in designing and implementing legal strategies that meet the standards and challenges of Chile for the future.
